Brownsville is home to a variety of businesses, from small shops in the historic downtown to family-owned farms in the surrounding valley.

Our easy access to the Interstate 5 corridor makes Brownsville’s light Industrial Land attractive to small companies looking to lower their transportation cost or increase their transportation revenue.

Available retail space in the Downtown Commercial area is generally located in historic buildings. The large windowed storefront are ideal for specialty retailers, art galleries, bicycle shops, and antique dealers. The Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway, the state’s oldest and most heavily traveled bike tourism route, runs right through the center of historic downtown.

Brownsville is the western portal to the Over the River and Through the Woods Scenic Byway, which travels from Interstate 5 to the Cascades. Commercial property along this route includes gas stations, restaurants, convenience stores and other businesses that cater to the traffic along Highway 228.
