Happy New Year everyone! We hope that you’ve been staying safe from all of our wintry weather—Old Man Winter is not finished with us yet. Due to ice and unsafe travel conditions in December, the Chamber had to reschedule their public meeting. The meeting is coming up this week and more info is below, including the upcoming Chamber membership drive.
Chamber meeting and featured presentation
On Thursday, January 12th at noon, the Historic Brownsville Chamber of Commerce will hold their monthly meeting in the City Hall Community Room. Albany Visitors Association Executive Director and Willamette Valley Visitors Association President Jimmie Lucht, and WVVA PR and Marketing Coordinator Becca Barnhart will give a presentation on the benefits of WVVA to Historic Brownsville. Come learn about how WVVA helps drive wine-lovers into our region. A light lunch will be provided by Harpers Wine House for a small fee.
Chamber Executive Board elections
When the December meeting was rescheduled, so were the Chamber’s Executive Board elections. There will be an election held during the January Chamber meeting. New officers will be announced on the Chamber website and on our Facebook page. We also need more members of the Chamber to step up to help with 2017 events, so come prepared to add to the discussion.
We will be sending out an email to let you know about our membership drive within the next two weeks. Please be on the lookout for it, as it will be accompanied by a message from current Chamber Exec Board President John Morrison, and will contain a link to a online membership form. We hope you join us in 2017!
