Be a part of the longest-running community celebration in Oregon when you attend the Pioneer Picnic, held annually the first full weekend in June. Parades, a logging sports competition, a town-wide talent show, and lots of food and games. A Brownsville tradition since 1887.
Events at the 2015 Pioneer Picnic include:
- three-day events: flower show, food booths, art & craft booths, activity booths, quilt show, on-stage entertainment, Pioneer Picture gallery, Moyer House, Flea Market.
- Friday events: Kiddie Parade, Spelling Bee, penny scramble, opening ceremony, coronation, prize drawing, queen’s reception
- Saturday events: Wagon Train Breakfast, chicken barbecue, Grand Pioneer Parade, horseshoe tournament, talent show, pie-eating contest, square dance, horseman’s playday, antique tractor show.
- Sunday events: Wagon Train Breakfast, chicken barbecue, Memorial Worship Service, logging show, horseshoe tournament, Pioneer Dam Run.
