Since 1947, the Brownsville Saloon has been the premiere destination for fun, food, and drinks in town. Located in a former opera house, the Saloon is full of character and offers a welcoming environment with an old-west feel.
Ask owner, Natalie Wade, about the Saloon’s ghostly inhabitants, and you’ll find yourself entranced in the stories of its past. Though the Brownsville Saloon’s history pulls many guests in, it is the delicious food, great drinks, and fun atmosphere that keeps them coming back. One patron has been coming since the Saloon first opened 68 years ago!
Striving to support local farms and produce providers, the Saloon uses as many local ingredients as possible. To ensure their food is the highest quality, all burgers are hand pressed, and all cheeses and meats are sliced right in the kitchen. Though they are known for their incredible bacon cheeseburgers, Natalie suggests trying a ruben as well. If you don’t quite know what drink you are craving, two of the Saloon’s bartenders are expert mixologists. Their concoctions are sure to be just what you are looking for.
On any given night, there’s plenty to do at the Brownsville Saloon. With fantastic DJs who know exactly what to play to entertain the crowd, the Saloon has become the go-to juke joint for Linn County residents. Every Wednesday night, the Saloon hosts a pool tournament with payouts for 4th place and up in both women’s and men’s categories. They also offer lottery games, free wifi at any time, and often have local artists perform live music.
