The Historic Brownsville Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend their April meeting on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at noon in the City Hall Community Room. If you are a Brownsville resident or operate a business within the community, this will be an opportunity to meet your fellow members. The meeting is free and open to the pubic.
The Chamber’s Guest Speaker for April is Charlie Mitchell. Mitchell is the Director of the Linn-Benton Community College Small Business Development Center, commonly referred to as the SBDC. He has been in this position since January, following the resignation of Marc Manley, who is now the Executive Director of Oregon RAIN.
Charlie has been an economic development professional, helping businesses of all sizes and types succeed in Oregon since 1996, having worked for the City of Grants Pass, Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development, Inc. (SOREDI), the City of La Grande and the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments. He is one of only six certified economic development professionals in Oregon. He holds Bachelor of Science and Masters in Management degrees from Southern Oregon University. Charlie is a native Oregonian, and is a Veteran of the US Navy, where he served in Operation Desert Storm. He and his wife live in Corvallis with their two children who attend Crescent Valley High School.
A light lunch will be provided by Randy’s Main Street Cafe at 11:30 for $8. Mitchell’s presentation is free and open to the public.
